Haywards Property Services, the residential property management and building consultancy arm of The Erinaceous Group, has recently won a further six contracts with Councils across London to carry out a range of building consultancy projects. Together the contracts will generate fees of approximately £350,000 in the first year.

London Borough of Hillingdon

Haywards has won two contracts with the London Borough of Hillingdon to undertake a dual assessment of the borough’s 90 schools on a five-year contract.

Haywards engineering team has been commissioned to carry out an exceptional survey of all facilities in the schools, while its building surveying team will carry out comprehensive assessments of the buildings’ structure. HPS will subsequently make recommendations for the implementation of future maintenance plans.

The contract is among a growing number of projects Haywards has recently undertaken on school buildings in connection with local authorities.

Royal Borough of Kingston Upon Thames

Haywards Property Services has won a three-year contract to provide building consultancy to the Royal Borough of Kingston. Work will be carried out on housing estates, schools and corporate buildings throughout the borough.

Haywards Property Services was among four organisations including White Young Green, Deale & Henderson, and local firm Tuffin Ferraby & Taylor to win the contract, each of which will perceive approximately a £100,000 annual fee from the commission.

London Borough of Greenwich

The architects’ team of Haywards Property Services has been appointed to carry out a feasibility study to remodel and improve Greenwich Council’s 26 sheltered housing blocks.

The Council appointed HPS to submit proposals to convert the large number of bedsits into self-contained one-bedroom flats, to upgrade all homes to relevant standards and to improve the overall quality of the blocks for residents.

The design proposals will be drafted in close consultation with residents, scheme managers and care workers. Its application will subsequently be decided upon by the council.

Corporation of London

Again the architects’ team of Haywards Property Services has been commissioned by the Corporation of London to relocate one of its existing public libraries at Camomile Street to a new location in Fenchurch Street EC3.

The team will specify adaptations of the building to comply with DDA requirements and install new fittings.

Swan Housing Association

HPS has been appointed by Swan Housing Association as one of four selected Master Planners. The team will work with Swan to develop its proposals for the regeneration of a number of Estates in Tower Hamlets where stock transfer to the Association is being considered. Swan has already been successful in their bid to become the new landlord for the Crossways Estate in Tower Hamlets and are optimistic that further estates will follow.
