The acquisitive Erinaceous Group has announced another significant step towards becoming the UK’s leading property services organisation with the purchase of a further three companies, bringing the total to six* in the past 12 months. (* Please see Notes to Editors)
Erinaceous has acquired the outstanding share capital of Makers Haywards Property Services Ltd, its joint venture responsive repair company with Makers, a subsidiary of the Keller Group. The company will now trade as Haywards Facilities Management.
In addition, Erinaceous has acquired JSSP Ltd, which manages a large portfolio of prestige buildings in Kensington and Chelsea, and the resources and goodwill of JSSP’s sister company, Burghley Resources Ltd, which provides porter, cleaning and handyperson services to an extensive range of clients.
Neil Bellis, Chief Executive of the Erinaceous Group, said: “These acquisitions are a further step towards achieving our vision of providing all the services required by residential landlords in both the public and private sectors through a single point of accountability.”
Haywards Facilities Management will continue to carry out day-to-day responsive repairs in the 10,000 public sector homes the Group manages in central London and will increasingly provide the same service for the additional 16,000 homes the Group manages for a range of private sector clients.
Chelsea-based JSSP, which employs 25 staff, is a specialist manager of services to some 3,300 residential and mixed tenure properties across the heart of London.
Erinaceous proposes to integrate the JSSP operation into Haywards Property Services, the subsidiary through which Erinaceous manages over 26,000 homes and provides an extensive range of building surveying, architectural and related professional services.
